Djibouti immigration has introduced two tpyes of tourist visa. e-Visas are issued only for tourism or commerce purposes.
Djibouti Single entry 14 days e-Visa?
The Djibouti Single entry eVisa is a tourist visa can obtain online. This type of visa allows travellers enter the country through the Ambouli International Airport.
Djibouti Single Entry 90 days e-Visa?
This type of visa allows travellers enter the country through the Ambouli International Airport. There are only two types of eVisas, which are Single entry 14 days or Single Entry 90 days.
Djibouti Transit Visa
Visitors can apply for a transit visa valid for 3 days or a single entry visit visa valid for 31 days. eVisas are issued only for tourism or commerce purposes. Holders of eVisas can only enter Djibouti through Ambouli International Airport.
Djibouti Visa
On 18 February 2018, the government of Djibouti introduced an eVisa system for foreign visitors intended to replace the visa on arrival system.
The eVisa is a document that certifies that the holder is authorized to enter and stay in the Republic of Djibouti for a specified period. It replaces the traditional, and it issued at the point of entry into the country, which is usually an airport or border crossing. Applicants can obtain their visa electronically, after providing the required information and making the payment online. Once the application is approved, the eVisa is sent to the applicant by e-mail. Candidates are required to print their eVisa and keep it with their passport at all times when travelling in the Republic of Djibouti. The eVisa is only valid if the purpose of the trip is tourism, business or transit. Other purposes, such as work and study, require a traditional visa which can obtained at embassies or consulates of Djibouti.
Upon Arrival at Ambouli International AirportUpon arrival in Djibouti, you will have to present your passport along with your printed eVisa (also known as Authorization Letter) and all the documents you submitted with your application.
